Coach House

Thank you for the use of your lovely cottage, and for your very kind welcome basket. The Welsh cakes were extremely nice-all had been eaten by Sunday!

We really must congratulate you on the standard of everything in the cottage-a very high standard indeed-and without any doubt that the best accommodation we have had.

Since returning to the UK from Egypt in 2004 we have had two trips each year to various parts of the UK from Scotland to Cornwall-mainly for W's benefit and to see the country-and I have enjoyed revisiting places not seen for many years-so we have taken about 12 to 13 cottages in the last 6 1/2 years-and Bailea coach house is indeed exceptional.

Thank you again for the use of your cottage and all its lovely contents-love the cooker-and W has fallen in love with the Welsh slate!

D and W (Leicestershire) November 2010

An excellent place to stay for our New Year celebrations. Managed two good walks from the door as the snowy weather meant driving wasn't and option. Would love to come back and stay longer in such a fantastic cottage.

Sarah and Mark, Chester & Anne and Rob, Bristol - January 10

We've had a fantastic week in the Brecons. The Coach House is by far one of the best cottages we have ever stayed in - beautifully presented, immaculately clean, plus all those little extra touches that make the difference between a good holiday and a great holiday.

The Indian Summer has been the icing on the cake - didn't need our wellies once.

Thank you for making us feel very welcome.

Joy and Brian, Somerset - September 09

This spacious and immaculate cottage far exceeded our expectations. It is spotlessly clean and very well equipped and beautifully furnished - everything you could possibly desire for a relaxing and tranquil break ina fantastic location.

Marjorie and Evan are the perfect hosts and made us feel welcome and at home throughout our stay.

Thank you so mcu - we shall certainly recommend it and hope to return.

Cyril and Neelia (Devon), Cliff and Helen (Somerset) - August 09

Our second visit in 3 months - which says just how much we enjoyed our first visit here. This past week has confirmed our earlier impressions that this is indeed an exceptional place for a holiday. Superb comfort and a welcome from Marjorie which will always be remembered. The weather was unkind, but even the onslaught of "Hurricane Bill" couldn't dampen our spirits or spoil the attractions of Bailea.

Thank you Marjorie

Russ and Pat - August 09

We have had a truly superb Easter Break. Great credit to you both - the accommodation is the best we have stayed in and it was lovely to meet you both. Even the weather excelled with sunshine every day and we enjoyed the excellent walking. Many thanks - we look forward to returning.

PS Russ is now demanding Welsh cakes. What beautiful surroundings

A great place to spend Christmas! 5 Star "home away from home". We had fabulous accommodation, great weather, great company and a really relaxing break. The weather made the walks even more enjoyable - we were so lucky. The welcome when we arrived and the warm, decorated cottage started a tremendous week. We could not have asked for more.

Pat, John Fergus and Alex, Liverpool, Cardiff and Dublin - Christmas 2008

This is the best cottage we've ever stayed in. Perfect in every way! Thank you for the lovely welcome pack - delicious Welsh cakes! We had a wonderful week of walking in the beautiful countryside despite the changeable weather. We'll definitely be coming back.

Fantastic cottage - spacious, beautifully furnished and well equipped. Loved the Welsh cakes, chutney and marmalade, too. We had a lovely week - especially enjoyed Craig-y-Nos Country Park, Llangorse lake, red kite feeding station at Llanddeusant and the National Botanical Garden. The "Easier Access" leaflet (No. 15) was very useful. Thank you

What a lovely place to stay... We had a great visit to Wales and hope to return again. The view from the patio, sipping a drink or eating supper was wonderful after a day of touring. Stable

The accommodation and attention to detail superseded our expectations. The Welsh cakes were lovely and were most welcome after our journey here with a nice cup of tea.

The Tanners Arms on the way to Defynnog is a real local, welcoming pub.

W and O November 2010

F and I have had a great time here at Bailea Farm. We really cannot thank you enough for your hospitality but we wish you all the best in the coming years. We do hope on day to return to Brecon Beacons as we continue to travel before old age catches up with us. The Stable is a great place to stay - especially when the weather wasn't the greatest.

C and F November 2010

The Stable fulfilled all of our needs wonderfully. Our time here has been one of the best vacations-despite the weather. We truly enjoyed being in a the Brecon Beacons National Park and the beautiful area surrounding Bailea farm. We hope to come back in the not too distant future. Kind regards.

W and S (Durham) August 2010

We had the wonderful week in this beautiful cottage. After a very warm welcome we couldn't believe how clean and luxurious our temporary new home was. The Jacuzzi and amazing mattress were perfect for soothing sore legs and it was so peaceful and calming to return here in the evenings. This was our second visit to the area and we really enjoyed thoroughly exploring this beautiful part of the world. The Usk reservoir, the beautiful lake of Lyn y Fan Fach, the waterfalls around Ystradfellte and the spectacular peak of Pen y Fan were particularly highlights. Hearty food was served at the Lion and we can also recommend; the bit further away, the Bear in Crickhowell. Thank you so much for a very relaxing week.

H and T (Ealing) August 2010

This was our first visit to the Brecon Beacons and we could not have wished for a better place to use as the base for our walk along the beacons way. The welcome was warm, the Welcoming Basket of goodies delicious and the cottage itself was beautiful. The Jacuzzi was wonderful and was well used after long days in the beacons. Now that we have sampled the area we want to come again and would look to stay here again.

Dear Marjorie,

We felt very at home in this lovely cottage. A bit sad to move on. The first five days the weather was very good. Tenby was nice to walk around and eat an ice cream at sea. We had a nice dinner at Shoemakers Arms and a beer in the sun at the pier of Aberystwyth. A very nice week! Thank you!

We have never relaxed so quickly or so completely as we have done since arriving at this gorgeous cottage on Saturday; the thought that has gone into this place and the attention to detail is a credit to the owner. We walked, we talked, we thoroughly enjoyed - and the PYO strawberries just up the road we gorgeous. We will definitely be back.

We have had a fantastic week in your great cottage and perfect surroundings. The weather has been very mixed but we managed a long walk or bike ride every day thanks to your very helpful informative Beacons guide books. The Jaccuzi bath was heavenly for soaking our weary limbs. Everything about the cottage is excellent and we couldn't fault how well equipped it was. Thank you for the Welsh cakes and for making us feel so welcome and our stay so memorable.
