Cycling

There are many trails and routes in the Beacons for cyclists, with varying lengths and difficulty to suit you. Map and route packs are available for £5.99 from the Information Centres in and around the National Park.

Fishing

Horse Riding

The Brecon Beacons National Park Authority has been awarded the BHS Access Award for the National Park most active in opening up equestrian routes. A perfect riding resort with spectacular scenery, wealth of wildlife and some of the best riding in Europe. Close to excellent road & rail links, yet a world away from the bustle of urban life.

We have stayed in a beautiful part of the country in the most excellent accommodation and our hosts, Marjorie and Evan, made us most welcome. We intend to return.

What a lovely cottage-it certainly has the X factor. The attention to detail, decorations and comfort are excellent. There aren't many places where you can sit outside and hear nothing but the birds twittering and the occasional sheep baa-ing. We had a lovely time and the Jacuzzi bath was particularly good after a mountain bike ride. We still have plenty of places to visit if we come this way again.

For once we had excellent, if rather hot, weather. We visited the Dan-yr-Ogof caves and can recommend them for a good trip. The welcome basket is a lovely idea and while we don't eat marmalade the Welsh cakes and chutney were delicious. We can heartily recommend the Lion.

The wonderful and comfortable place to base ourselves for a week of exploring the Brecon Beacons area. We couldn't have picked better accommodation, with care and thought having gone into the decoration and furnishing of the Stable. We have done some fantastic walks including the Sugar Loaf, so walking guides were extremely useful. We recommend a visit to Carreg Cennan Castle and a day by the sea on the Gower Peninsula. We hope to return to Bailea so we can continue to explore this great part of the world.
